Woods Hole Science Aquarium
Educational, fascinating, and better yet, free, the Woods Hole Science Aquarium is a must-see stop on any Cape Cod trip! Though it is a small, public aquarium, there are roughly 140 marine animal species being cared for in this beautiful facility. Take part in the adventure of the seas with a tour through this wonderful aquarium!
Open Tuesday through Saturday, year-round, the Woods Hole Science Aquarium is easy to work into even the tightest of itinerary schedules. Stop by and see seals rollicking in their habitats, visit the touch pools and see lobsters and sea stars up close, or explore the science of marine biology via the educational exhibits showcasing bones and fossils. Most of the animals housed here find their natural homes in New England, including the Atlantic fish such as haddock and white bass, or the strange looking blue lobsters.
You can visit the only outdoor habitat to see the seals, or learn more about the ocean and its inhabitants through the "dry exhibits" and more! There's so much to see and do at Woods Hole Science Aquarium so stop by and learn something new!
