Welcome to the Verge Center for the Arts, the leading cultural institution in the Sacramento region for contemporary art and ideas.
First founded in 2008, this center provides contemporary art and art resources to the public through a combination of exhibits, low/no-cost workshop space for artists, and various educational programming. Verge shares space with the Axis Gallery, a 15-year old artist-run space, and has also merged with the Center for Contemporary Arts Sacramento, giving it a very big spot in the local art world.
When visiting the center your group can request an exhibition tour, taking place each Saturday and Sunday. There will also be various classes and/or workshops happening, with specific options for kids and teens like the Art Gallery Story Time and Girl Scouts Pottery class.
