Utah Museum of Fine Arts

Created to instill inspiration and creativity in its visitors, the Utah Museum of Fine Arts is the state's premier institution for the appreciation of visual artistry from around the world. Above all valuing excellence and the role of art in our everyday lives, the museum showcases the finest art from around the globe, bringing the magic of human imagination to your group on a daily basis.

The Utah Museum of Fine Arts maintains a permanent collection of nearly 20,000 objects and supports traveling exhibitions on a regular basis. Collections range in era and medium from antiquity and ancient figures such as 7th century B.C. statues of Egyptian gods to African ceramics, Hindu ceremonial figurines, and of course European paintings and modern Western photography. Find among the galleries works by artists such as Jan Brueghel the Younger, Thomas Cole, John Singer Sargent, and more.

Student groups are more than welcome to tour the galleries and exhibitions or take part in the many museum-based programs, tours, and classes. K-12 teachers and school field trips are given priority with in-depth docent-led tours of the themed galleries or with the fabulous UMFA pARTners program complete with teacher resources and extra information. The museum also supports university and adult classes as well for older student groups or requested group tours of the facility.
