Tulane University
Welcome to Tulane University, the private research university located in Uptown New Orleans, across from Audubon Park.
This university was founded as a public medical college in 1834, then as a comprehensive university in 1847. It has grown into becoming 'one of the most well-respected research universities in the country'. Tulane University is also part of the elite group of Associations of American Universities.
The school supports around 8,500 undergrads, with a class size average of 21 students. There are over 1700 classes to choose from, with over 70 majors in 5 different schools including Science and Engineering, Architecture, Business, Liberal Arts, and Public Health. There are also over 200 student-run clubs and organizations offered at Tulane.
During your class or group visit, you will be able to tour the campus, visit classes, and have opportunities to speak with current students and/or staff. Group tours include a 30-minute information session followed by a 60-minute walking tour. Groups will have the option to dine at the LBC Food Court or The Commons during their visit, another way to immerse yourself into campus life!
