The Hollywood Museum is housed within the historic Max Factor Building on Highland Avenue and was designed by American architect Simeon Charles Lee. Max Factor was known as the Hollywood Makeup King, giving the iconic looks to such big names as Joan Crawford, Judy Garland, and many more during the 'Golden Age' of entertainment.
Inside this museum you will see 100 years of Hollywood, the items inside including props, costumes, scripts, and photos, the most extensive collection of Hollywood memorabilia in the world. Explore all 4 floors of exhibits, holding over 10,000 authentic show biz treasures. Movie stars' car collections, personal artifacts, posters, and vintage film memorabilia await throughout, with the chance to see such iconic items as Rocky's boxing gloves, Marilyn Monroe's Million Dollar Dress, and Elvis' personal bathrobe.
The exhibits you will see include such subjects as Holy Hollywood History (Batman), Real to Reel, and Superhero Legends, plus so many more. Be sure to save plenty of time to see the lower level's more creepy Hollywood offerings, such as Hannibal Lector's jail cell from the Silence of the Lambs or Boris Karloff's Mummy.
