There will be no better way to end your night than with a scenic dinner in the diverse neighborhood of D.C’s Southwest Waterfront. This 47-acre riverfront community is the smallest of the 4 main quadrants in D.C, though it holds several largely popular historic and scenic spots in the city! Within this community you and your group will have so much to do, you may not know where to start, which is why we suggest heading to The Wharf for dinner.
The Wharf is an area within the neighborhood that comprises 24 out of 47 acres of land, plus an additional 50 acres of waterfront. Taking up space along the shore from the historic fish market to Fort McNair, this spot is filled with luxury lodging and culinary star cuisine, the perfect spot for you to grab a bite to eat for the night. Try any of the authentic ethnic eats nearby, from Muze East West Kitchen, the Asian fusion hotspot, to Masala Art Indian cuisine eatery. If you are not feeling so adventurous head over to the popular Cantina Marina Bar and Grill.
After dinner stroll along the Promenade for some unbeatable riverfront views of the Potomac River, or, perhaps, see if there is anything happening on the Arena Stage. You can also visit the longest running open-air fish market, see up close and personal the vibrant boating community, participate in any of the many recreational activities around (golf, hike, tennis, spas), or even visit a historical home on Wheat Row (the oldest homes in D.C, circa the 1700's).
