Smoky Mountain Opry
Pigeon Forge
If you happen to find yourself in Pigeon Forge with nothing today then you need to head to the Smoky Mountain Opry, what has been locally dubbed as “America’s Ultimate Variety Show’, a type of Broadway-style classic with true southern Smoky Mountain charm. This fun show features a large open venue and some of the best high-tech lasers, and high-quality singers and dancers, around Tennessee. You will see performers suspended in mid-air, hear music from Sinatra to Garth Brooks, and see pyrotechnics like never before with the classic Opry evening show, making it quite easy to see why this has earned the TripAdvisor Certificate of Excellence for 2016.
During the Opry you will hear country music, pop, Broadway, and big band hits, the entire show a multi-million dollar spectacle that will last over 2 hours. See singers, dancers, magicians, comedians, jugglers, and aerialists during the show, as well as the real star in our book, the white tiger known as Tsimba Vaati (one of only 300 remaining). Feel free to hang back after how and ask about the tiger and his day to day life and treatment in the business, as well. If you are here around Christmas time you must stop and see the ‘biggest and best’ holiday spectacular featuring flying sugar plum fairies and dancing elves galore, truly the largest of its kind in the area.
You may also stop by earlier during the day and see the Smoky Morning Variety Show or Magic Beyond Belief, two very different yet very entertaining show options while here!
