Stop for a quick lunch at one of our favorite Virginia Beach eateries, Rudee’s Restaurant & Cabana Bar. This spot is so special for one big reason: it’s right on the ocean! Located on Rudee Inlet, this waterside eatery stays busy serving fresh off the boat seafood within a coast Guard Station replica. This Mediterranean Avenue gem is open from 11 am to 8:30 pm, giving beach and boardwalk-goers the perfect time span to grab a bite. There are both indoor and outdoor seating options, the outdoor complete with a sundeck and gliding tables to allow you to overlook the water.
As great as the views are, the food is even better! Try some of their most popular and unique options such as the Lobster Roll, Backfin Burger with crab, or Fried Oyster Sandwich. There are also classic burger options as well as pork and chicken, though we highly suggest trying something seafood, or even head to the delicious raw bar. 33 years of more than satisfactory service has made this seafood and steak joint so popular, and did we mention the excellent happy hour cocktail options for teachers and chaperones?
