Rory Meyers Children's Adventure Garden
As part of the Dallas Arboretum and Botanical Garden, Rory Meyers Children’s Adventure Garden strives to continuously connect children with nature, making education its focus. This eight-acre park overlooks scenic White Rock Lake and is a Certified Wildlife Habitat and Monarch Waystation. The only park of its kind in the world, visit Rory Meyers with your children this vacation and spark an everlasting love of the natural world.
The adventure garden is fully interactive and multi-sensory to engage children’s minds and enhance motor skills, boost learning, and make memories. Walk-in through the stylized gate and start your journey through this enchanted garden past The Cascades, a beautifully constructed waterfall feature. Explore Petroglyph Walk, the Texas Skywalk, and over 150 family-friendly activities.
Exhibits such as Plants are Alive and Earth Cycles magnify nature to allow children to see small creatures on a big scale. See models of ants the size of a small pony, interact with the water cycle, and more. Giant replicas of small insects and dioramas are located periodically throughout the park to enhance learning experiences. Visit the Amazing Secret Garden for an enchanted look into the beauty of nature or take part in one of the exhibits that allow children to interact with nature the way animals do.
Be a scientist and learn about their different jobs with one of the regularly scheduled activities that occur weekly. Starting with Metamorphosis Mondays and ending with Weekends of Wonder, every day at the Rory Meyers Children’s Adventure Garden is filled with inspiration and education.
The park is open daily, except major federal holidays, from 9-5.
