Animal Kingdom
Walt Disney World's largest theme park transports you to the wilds of Africa, the depths of Asia, and beyond the veil of time to the land of the dinosaurs. Filled with fun and education around every corner, Animal Kingdom has 500 acres of thrills, favorite characters, and of course, animals.
In the center of the park is the enormous and iconic Tree of Life. Get a little closer and see animals carved into its surface. Find a great ape, a large python, a panther, and much more on its massive trunk. This tree really encompasses the purpose of Animal Kingdom and is reminiscent of that favorite Disney movie, Lion King.
Head deeper into the park to travel to the Himalayas and find Expedition Everest, perhaps the most thrilling roller coaster in the entire Disney park campus. Search for the yeti as you climb Mount Everest or grab an ice cream from a caravan and walk through the Nepalese shops, watch the orangutans and other animals play in their enclosures. Head over to Kilimanjaro Safaris for a truly African safari through the savanna and find hippos, giraffes, rhinos, and lions among many other species living freely in the park. If you can't get enough animals, head from there to the Pangani Forest Exploration Trail and take a walking tour of even more enclosures, seeing great apes up close, tigers and much more!
On the other side of the park, you'll find dinosaurs, both fossilized and living. If you're brave enough, head down to Dinosaur the ride and travel back in time to capture a dinosaur before that fateful asteroid hits the earth. You'll find much more than herbivores down there so beware! Even more carnival type dinosaur themed rides, more suitable for younger kids, is located here.
Animal Kingdom is also home to some fabulous shows. It's Tough to Be a Bug is a fabulous multi-sensory 3D film shown beneath the Tree of Life while there are several live animal shows and the Lion King show which occur daily.
No matter if your group is comprised of young students or college-aged students, everyone is sure to have a brilliant time at Disney's Animal Kingdom!
