Moody Mansion
Welcome to Moody Mansion, the historic residential building located on Broad Street in historic Galveston. This 31-room Romanesque Mansion was completed in 1895 by famed architect William H Tyndall. Today the mansion is open for public tours and also houses the Galveston Children's Museum within its walls.
Inside you will find 28,000 square feet of historic splendor, this 4-story home rightfully listed on the National Register of Historic Places. Tour 20 rooms that 'depict the home life of a powerful Texas family', the Moodys. This family established one of the great American financial empires, an empire first based on cotton that quickly grew into ranching, banking, railroad, newspapers, insurance, hotels, and more.
