Welcome to the Memphis Brooks Museum of Art, the oldest and largest art museum in the state of Tennessee.
Located in Overton Park in Midtown Memphis, this museum displays an impressive collection of European and American art from the 18th-20th centuries. You will see paintings, sculptures, prints, drawings, photographs, artist's books, decorative arts, design, textile arts, African art, ancient art, and Pre-Columbian art all throughout the galleries. See such collections as the Native Voices, 1950 to Now: Art for a New Understanding and Rotunda Projects: E.V. Day - Divas Ascending** during your visit.
School tours are available for grades K-12 and are designed to engage students in critical thinking about art, as well as help them develop visual literacy. Students will get a guided tour of a specific collection or exhibit, as well as an optional hands-on studio art activity.
