It provides guests with a 'global array of plants arranged into seperate areas', 31 seperate areas to be exact. The areas provide an in-depth look into various families of plants, flowers, and trees. Here are a few examples of gardens you will see during your visit:
- Arboretum
- Azalea Trail
- Butterfly Garden
- Conifer Collection
- Delta Heritage Garden
- Dogwood Trail
- Japanese Garden
- Sculpture Garden
- Water Garden Room
- Wildflower Woodland
There is so much to see here, with additional options such as My Big Backyard, the children's interactive garden, as well as the Rick Pudwell Horticulture Center. Be sure to save plenty of time to visit the onsite Gift Shop and cafe as well, the latter (Fratelli's Cafe) serving up 'fresh, creative soups, salads, sandwiches and desserts with an Old World flair'. The views from the cafe are UNBEATABLE!
*Note, student groups will want to take advantage of the myriad of onsite educational classes or workshops, offering lessons in plant science, world ecosystems, multicultural studies, historical uses of plants, art in nature, environmental issues, and more.
