While you are in Cleveland, consider looking in on the MAPS Air Museum. Owned by the Military Aviation Preservation Society, the museum is dedicated to educating individuals about the history of aviation and its impact on society. When you visit the Museum, you can see aircraft on display, shop at the Museum Gift Shop, and take part in educational programs.

While you are at the MAPS Air Museum, you will have the opportunity to check out spectacular airplanes like the fighter model, Grumman F-9F Cougar, a Convair Delta Dagger which first flew in 1957, and the McDonnell Douglas F-4S Phantom. Visitors will see planes such as the Martin Glider, built by William Martin, and the Goodyear Drake. The Martin Glider's first flight took place on January 12, 1909, and reached a height of 20 feet and a speed of 20 MPH, making more than 100 successful flights.

The MAPS Air Museum also has an impressive collection of the Bomber Attack planes. Guests will have the opportunity to see models including the Douglas A-26 Invader, the North American F-100D Super Sabre, and the Martin B-26 Marauder. The F-100 Super Sabre was a successor to the F86 Sabre, used in Korea. It was the first production U.S. aircraft that was capable of flying faster than the speed of sound in level flight also featuring the first supersonic capable auto-pilot.
