Louisiana Children's Museum
Indoors and out, there are tons of hands-on ways to learn literacy, health and wellness, arts and culture, environmental education, and STEM.
Welcome to the Louisiana Children's Museum, the museum located in New Orleans City Park that holds '8.5 acres of hands-on, brain-building exhibits, inside and out'.
Your kiddos will love to explore the 30,000 square feet of interactive exhibits throughout the museum area, the site featuring a climbing wall, art studio, mock cafe, and so much more! There are 2 full floors of new interactive exhibits and old favorites reimagined, plus outdoor adventures on the water, in the garden, and more.
Explore various museum galleries such as Dig into Nature, Follow that Food, Make your Mark, and Move with the River. There are plenty of Outdoor Adventures to explore outside as well, such as the Toddler Landscape and Burrow Hummock, Music Hummock, Eye Spy Stations, Pelican's Perch, Edible Garden, Floating Classroom, and more!
LCM was 'born for field trips', with plenty to explore and learn for children of all ages. Your group can book a 2-hour field trip block which will give you a designated time for 1 outdoor and 3 indoor galleries, plus boxed lunch options from the onsite cafe, Acorn Cafe. This cafe serves up quick and fresh options that kids love such as pizza, sandwiches, soups, and salads.
