Lake Winnepesaukah Amusement Park
Welcome to the Lake Winnepesaukah Amusement Park, or more commonly, Lake Winnie!
This family fun mecca opened in 1925 as a venue for swimming, boating, and fishing. Lake Winnepesaukah quickly turned into the sprawling entertainment destination you see today. The name, Winnepesaukah, is a native American word meaning 'bountiful waters', which is appropriate with the gorgeous waterside scenery found here.
Recognized as one of America's Top 10 Family Amusement Parks, Lake Winnie will provide your group with 85 acres of kiddie rides, family rides, thrill rides, food, games, and a waterpark! Enjoy family-friendly rides such as the Antique Cars, Paddle Boats, or Parachutes, or maybe go for a big thrill with the 70-foot drop wooden Cannonball Coaster or loop-filled Fire Ball. To cool off head over to SOAKya, where you can explore 5 acres of water-filled fun including a crazy river, 4 slides, an 800-foot mat racer, and a kids pool area.
There are games and concessions lining the pathways, with eating options including Ferris Wheel Cafe, Scooter's Pizza, Showboat, and more. School groups will want to check out which days are Education Days, where your group can explore 'the largest outdoor classroom in the region' and learn about energy, motion, and math.
Lake Winnie is open each May-September, with special October weekend options for the haunted attraction SPOOKah.
