HOPE Outdoor Gallery
...developed to provide muralists, street artists, arts education classes and community groups the opportunity to display outdoor art driven by inspirational, positive, and educational messaging.
Opening in a new location in 2021, across from the Austin airport, you will find the HOPE Outdoor Gallery, the iconic Austin art destination 'bringing together artists with families, students, activists, and tourists alike'.
This public art space was originally known as the Baylor Street Art Wall, which was one of the largest graffiti walls in the entire city. It was established through the help of hundreds of participating artists and quickly became internationally known as the only park of it's kind in the world.
The new HOPE Outdoor Gallery will be located by the Austin Bergstrom International Airport and is meant to serve the purpose of a cultural center and art park for the local Austin community and visitors from all over the globe. This art park and full-service events center will allow guests to experience large-scale public art, new creative technologies, and education in arts all at once. There are to be regular events in the open-air venue and guests can also attend cultural classes, camps, and productions regularly.
This is a great stop to plan for student groups interested in art or who may be looking for something just a bit out of the ordinary during their Austin visit.
