Gravity Park
South Padre Island
For extreme thrills during your southern Texas getaway be sure to plan an evening at South Padre Island's Gravity Park, an amusement and adventure park all in one.
This 'homegrown icon' was first opened in 1993 and has served as a fixture of the local community for over 25 years now. They take pride in providing fun and adventure to family and friends alike, offering up some of the area's most thrilling rides and entertainment options.
Fans of big thrills will want to try the 140 reverse bungee, The Rocket, as well as the 110-foot giant swing, The Skycoaster. Any guest will enjoy the 60-foot Ferris Wheel, offering up unbeatable views of the island and its beachside surroundings.
Younger visitors will want to check out the multi-level go-kart track, which some describe as a mix between an old wooden roller coaster and a new go-kart track, as well as the 18-hole miniature golf course. There are also a couple of kiddie rides such as The Trampoline Thing and Climbing Wall, plus a miniature onsite arcade.
While there are no dining options within Gravity Park itself, it is located in a central position on the island, allowing you just a few steps distance from other major eateries outside the gates.
