Three Great Public Golf Courses In the Nation's Capital.
Take your group on a golfing adventure in our nation's capital with GolfDC, the main golfing branch of the city that owns three different main courses; East Potomac, Langston, and Rock Creek. Here are more details about each course:
- East Potomac Golf Course - Also called Hains Point Golf Course, this highly popular DC golf venue hosts 3 different courses within (Red 9 Holes Par 27, White 9 Holes Par 33, Blue 18 Holes Par 72), a 100 stall driving range, practice holes, putting greens, footgolf and mini-golf! The mini-golf facility is the oldest continuously operating mini-golf course in the country, with 18 holes sitting between the Washington Channel and Potomac River. Be sure to stop at The Potomac Grille to pick up what has been dubbed the 'Best Burger in Town' before you go.
- Langston Golf Course - This historic 18 hole golf course (par 72) is named after John Mercer Langston, the first African American elected into public office. The course is known for representing African American golf heritage, and also for its all-day breakfast at The Langston Grille. There is a driving range and pro shop onsite as well. This course has a spot on the National Register of Historic Places.
- Rock Creek Golf Course - If you are looking to escape the busy city without actually leaving, you should head to Rock Creek Golf Course, a course nestled in the deep woods of Rock Creek Park. This course offers 9 Holes, Par 65, as well as a pro shop, snack shop, and access to the GolfDC Academy, which has taught visitors to 'learn, practice, and play' golf since 1989, seeing around 4,500 participants annually.
