Gatlinburg

The Gatlinburg Space Needle is the perfect way to see the city. The Seattle mock-up is definitely not a let down as you take in the best views of the city and the Great Smoky Mountains beyond. This 407-foot tall observation tower comes with an amazing outdoor observation level, the deck in which you will get all the great 360 degree views. An "unequaled panorama of beauty year-round," this stop is also an information-packed learning experience, complete with new state-of-the-art higher learning exhibits. Get all the educational facts and historical tidbits you can while up here, the entire trip a great geographical hands-on sort of adventure. SeeCoast has provided several viewfinders at the top so you can really get close proximity visuals, making your odds of seeing a black bear, wildflower bud, or small jutting stream within the mountains much better. You may also want to bring your own binoculars or camera to really see it all!

The Gatlinburg Space Needle was finished in 1969, a three-floor, two-elevator, four million pound steel tower that doubles as an architectural wonder. Up to 250 people can enjoy the observation deck of this family owned and operated tourist spot, and it truly is the most comfortable, safe, and breathtaking way to see panoramic views of the misty Blue Ridge Mountains that surround the city. You will even be able to see Mount LeConte from here, one of the tallest peaks in the state at 6,593 feet. See the variety of budding vibrant flowers in the spring and the amazingly gorgeous rustic blanket of colors in the fall at the "best place to admire changing seasons in the Smoky Mountains."

There is also a 25,000 square foot addition to this attraction onsite, the two-story arcade aptly named Arcadia. Here you and your group will find an arcade with the area’s largest redemption center and tons of your absolute favorite games, as well as the nearby Iris Theater that puts on some of the most unique acts in the Smokies. If you work up an appetite grab a snack from the Slice Pizza Bakery before you go!
