Welcome to the Phillip and Patricia Frost Museum of Science, the premier science and learning center in the Miami area.
Frost Museum is dedicated to sharing the 'power of science, sparking wonder and investigation, and fueling innovation for the future'. They do this all very well through their various exhibits, interactive learning experiences, and onsite facilities such as the planetarium. The museum is separated into 4 main buildings:
- Planetarium
- Aquarium
- West Wing
- North Wing
The 250 seat planetarium boasts 16 million color, 8,000 projection and features some of the most immersive space-based learning experiences. The aquarium features 3 levels of deep-sea exploration, from local Florida maritime creatures to broader worldwide ocean exploration. In the West and North Wings, you will find exhibits such as the following: Feathers to the Stars, MeLaB, Design Lab: Engineering, Strange Matter, and River of Grass. These exhibits work to teach guests the science behind living systems, our solar system, light, flight, and much more.
School groups can benefit from special field trip activities, tours, dining, and overnight student stays provided by Frost Museum, as well.
