Downtown Colorado Springs
Welcome to Downtown Colorado Springs, the epicenter of all that happens in this exciting city. Designated as a Colorado Creative District, your group will find a bevy of art galleries, museums, shops, and restaurants all along these tree-lines streets, making this the perfect stop to spend a couple hours (or half the day!).
While here you will really get a ‘small town feel with big city amenities’ (VisitCoS), the buildings and shops mixing traditional and classic architectural styles and attitudes throughout. One of the coolest things about this downtown area is the street names themselves. Each street running east to west are named after regional rivers, and each street running north to south are named after regional mountain ranges.
Start your visit with some shopping, with everything from clothing and jewelry to art and books available. Next head to any of the 13 different eateries in the area such as Springs Orleans or Over Easy. There are plenty of casual outdoor options, upscale dining stops, and grab and go restaurants to choose from, ensuring everyone in your group can find something they like. There are several entertainment venues and events as well, from the Pikes Peak Center hosting the Colorado Springs Philharmonic to the educational Pioneers Museum or Money Museum. If you happen to be here on the first Friday of the month you can also partake in the art walk, a walking tour of all the local art installments and galleries downtown.
