Desert Botanical Garden
One of the most naturally stunning spots you can visit during your trip to Phoenix can be found within Papago Park, at the Desert Botanical Garden. This 140-acre botanical garden allows guests to 'enjoy the beauty of the desert and care about it', showing off various exhibits and hosting events related to the botanical world throughout the year.
During your visit to the gardens, you can walk around and see the exhibits, attend an event, or simply roam around and enjoy the scenery at your leisure. Private group tours and field trip tours are available for booking, as are regularly changing daily tours based on the season. For example, in the springtime, you can enjoy the Birds in the Garden daily tour.
There are also several different trails you can explore during your visit that allow you to experience the unique and beautiful plants, such as the Sonoran Desert Nature Loop Trail, Center for Desert Living Trail, Desert Discovery Loop Trail, Harriet K. Maxwell Desert Wildflower Loop Trail, and Plants and People of the Sonoran Desert Loop Trail.
Be sure to check out any garden activities happening during your visit, such as Ask a Gardener, Get to Know Garden Discovery Stations, and daily Desert Detective Bingo. If you work up an appetite while here grab a bite to eat at Gertrude's Restaurant or the Patio Café, and save plenty of time to pick up your desert garden souvenir at the Garden Shop before you go.
