Creative Discovery Museum
If you are traveling to Chattanooga with a group of younger students you are most certainly going to want to save plenty of time for a stop at the Creative Discovery Museum, one of the top children's museums in the entire country!
The Creative Discovery Museum, first opened in 1995, is a downtown staple fixture that sits right next to the Tennessee Aquarium and Riverfront. Its mission is to 'inspire all children to explore, innovate, create and play', something we think it does very well. Check out various art, music, field science, and technology exhibits throughout as your students get fully immersed into a world of discovery.
There are several permanent exhibits scattered about the museum, a few favorites being Make It, RiverPlay, and the Barsamian mind-boggling sculpture. Onsite you will also find a Science Theater, Culinary Corner, Arts Live Programs, homeschool workshops, various camps and clubs, and student group specific tours.
There is an onsite cafe, Cafe Dino-Mite, that will provide your group with fresh and kid-friendly foods emphasizing overall health, as well as a museum shop you will practically have to drag your kids out of!
