Welcome to the Corpus Christi Museum of Science and History, the popular educational institute that sits perched on the scenic harbor waterfront in the S.E.A (Sports, Entertainment, and Art) District if the city.
This museum was first established in 1957 and features permanent and special exhibits that examine the region's history, culture, agriculture, animals, and more. You can explore over 500 years of Southern Texas science and history within the museums carefully selected collection that is unique to the area's culture and surroundings. Learn about everything from local historic shipwrecks of early explorers to decorative arts from area families, each exhibit providing an 'up-close look at the life and the people of our great region'. This museum is also a repository for hundreds of thousands of artifacts and historically significant items, each item meant to inspire curiosity, understanding, and 'an enduring thirst for knowledge'.
If you are traveling with kiddos you will most definitely want to spend plenty of time within the H-E-B Science Center, an area meant for curious thinkers ages 3 and up filled with such things as touch tables, a shadow wall, imagination blocks, and more.
