Children's Museum of Cleveland
The Children's Museum of Cleveland is the premier place for young children in the area which strives to ‘help kids develop physically, emotionally, and socially’ through playful learning, creativity, and discovery. This highly popular museum was located near the University Circle, closed right now while moving to its new location in Midtown in the Fall of 2017. This entire museum encourages adult aid in the learning process and passes as a highly family-oriented venue, with several different interactive exhibits available to guests while open in its previous location.
This museum was founded in 1981, the only cultural and educational space dedicated to younger children in the greater Cleveland area. The museum sees a diverse visitors base, with over 100,000 annual visitors regularly. There are regular site tours, events, and even classroom visits when in operation, several school groups really loving the traveling lectures/exhibit feature and other various community educational outreach programs. Be aware that once this museum is reopened the suggested age range is 1-8, for maximum benefit/appreciation.
