Carowinds is 122 fun-filled acres with more than 50 world-class rides, shows, and attractions — featuring a 20-acre water park and more family-friendly fun than you'll know how to handle! As one of the best theme parks in the country, it would be a shame to visit Charlotte and not stop by Carowinds!
The Intimidator, the tallest, fastest, longest roller coaster in the southeast is the park’s 13th coaster. Inspired by Dale Earnhardt, this $23M coaster debuts as the largest capital investment in park history. Included in admission is Boomerang Bay, a 20-acre Australian-themed Outback oasis of wet fun. You can even relax in style at a private cabana rental with chairside service! Visit Planet Snoopy, a 12-acre children’s paradise that kids and parents can enjoy together full of fun, games, and plenty of Snoopy themed attractions.
Full of events shows, and spectaculars, Carowinds is an excellent place to come for the holidays. If last year's haunting holiday gave you nightmares, wait till you see the evil mess we have in store—join us for a fright-fest at Carowinds’ Halloween Haunt select nights from September through October. Other events over the holiday extravaganzas around Christmas as well, lighting the park up in red and green!
Stay where you play at the 55-acre Camp Wilderness Resort. Special campground packages that include admission to the park also available. Park open daily during the summer and weekends in the spring and fall.
