New York is known for its busy big cities, relentless fast-paced vibe, and gorgeous urban skylines. There is another region, however, further north in the state that allows locals and visitors alike to experience some of the most beautiful natural scenery on the East Coast. The Adirondacks area presents a unique way to explore northern New York, an endless outdoor recreation park that is made up of seven distinct regions. Here you can fly, boat or hot air balloon ride your way around the six million acres of balsam fir forests and witness the longest fall foliage season in the northeast in the largest park in the lower 48.

You can even catch a concert or movie in the park, or take one of many boat tours on the lakes! There are even over 24 eateries within the Adirondacks, providing a little something for everybody, from five-star gourmet to sit down casual!
The Adirondacks are comprised of seven distinct districts that each provide a unique landscape, like a large patchwork quilt of adventure! Explore the over 600 bodies of water in the Lakes region, hike in the High Peaks Wilderness of the Lake Placid region, or bike between the wineries on the Coast region. You can dive into the sunken shipwrecks of the Seaway region before you explore the breathtaking orchards and glowing aspen, sugar maple, and sweet birch forests of the Tug Hill region. You may never want to leave this gorgeous place!
