There are seemingly endless options for fun both in and out of the water here, the beach actually considered to be Fort Lauderdale’s ‘northernmost award-winning cove-like beach’. Enjoy such activities as sand volleyball, sandcastle building, surfing, body sailing, swimming, seashell collecting, or inter-coastal waterway boating. You can take a glass-bottom boat tour, get your tan on the beach, or fish off the famous Deerfield Pier.
Beach Time - Fort Lauderdale Beach
Welcome to Fort Lauderdale Beach, Greater Fort Lauderdale's sunny, sultry, and sandy pièce de résistance. This 'beach chic destination' is great for people watching, strolling, jogging, rollerblading, or simply sitting back and enjoy the surf sand and sun. Spend your day swimming your cares away, or perhaps exploring the wide array of shops, restaurants, sidewalk cafes, and entertainment venues lining the beach and nearby Las Olas Boulevard. If you are up for more of an adventure you can also go boating, windsurfing, jet-skiing, snorkeling, scuba diving, or deep-sea fishing!
Las Olas Boulevard
Las Olas Boulevard is considered to be 'at the forefront of everything from fashion boutiques and art galleries, to memorable restaurants, sidewalk cafes, and bars.' You will find over 3 dozen bistros, clubs, and restaurants along the way, most with both indoor and outdoor options, making this spot a true 'food lovers paradise'. There are also over 120 specialty shops, world-class art galleries, museums, salons, spas, jewelry stores, and more to explore while here. Shop home furnishings, shoes, apparel, art, jewelry, books, gifts, and even boats, then settle in for some entertainment at any of the local attractions such as the Broward Center for Performing Arts, the Stranahan House, WonderMunch Tours, or the Museum of Science and Discovery.
