A bit of a history lesson: This company was started by Riddell Angell and Cora Phelps in Michigan in 1925, the ladies bringing their business to Daytona Beach during the summers. They moved to Florida permanently during the beginning of WWII. It was a pretty big feat to start such a successful company for many reasons, including; 1). The owners were women in the 1920s. 2). The chocolatey business was started and thrived during the summer in Florida, before Air Conditioning.
