Chanhassen Dinner Theatre
Welcome to the Chanhassen Dinner Theatre, or CDT for short. Chanhassen is located 20 miles southwest of downtown Minneapolis, a quiet suburb that holds the largest professional dinner theatre complex in the nation, as well as the largest privately-owned restaurant in Minnesota.
The Chanhassen Dinner Theatre was first established in 1968 by founders Herb and Carol Bloomberg. They had a vision of bringing 'a little bit of Broadway to the Midwest', and that is just what they did.
The theatre complex is 90,000 square feet, hosting over 12.5 million guests a year. While here visitors can see Broadway shows such as Mamma Mia! and The Music Man, comedy shows like Stevie Ray's Comedy Cabaret, and other various concerts, special presentations, and events. The massive staff here includes actors, musicians, design teams, and crews, the conglomeration of workers all wanting to make Chanhassen the best dinner theatre there is!
Speaking of dinner, while here you will enjoy a great sit down dinner featuring entrees such as Famous Chicken Chanhassen, Cornmeal Crusted Walleye, Grilled Top Sirloin, and so much more!
