Your last stop of the day will take you to Green Lane Park, a 3,400 acre public park land located in Green Lane, Pennsylvania. Owned by the Division of Parks, Trails, and Historic Sites, this all-seasons outdoor recreation park attracts tons of guests daily, from loving locals to curious tourists. While here our group will have so much to enjoy, from the large-sized diverse land and water habitats perfect for bird watching to the natural beauty of the Delaware River and Kittatinny Ridge of the Appalachian Mountains. Explore the 814 acre reservoir, two smaller lakes, creek land, flood plains, old forests, meadows, and conifer plantations. Be sure to get all the interesting historic information about the native Lenni-Lenape Indian tribes that settled here first as well.
There are plenty of options of things to do while here, including camping, ice fishing, boating, hiking, biking, horseback riding, cross country skiing, ice skating, environmental education programs, and even live summer concerts. Enjoy the 25 miles of horseback riding trails, as well as hiking and biking trails, before heading over to the pavilions for a picturesque sunset picnic. If you have time be sure to bring some binoculars and get some quality northwestern Montgomery county bird watching in, or perhaps let loose and let your inner kid out at any of the three different park playgrounds.
